What will be new in Battlegroup 2025?

Welcome to Battlegroup 2025 website! Battlegroup 2025 will be our 10th Battlegroup event and we aim it would be best Battlegroup so far (as we always do)!

Here are listed all the changes you should be aware of if you have played before in our events as there are again some small and some larger changes which we hope will make the game flow better and your experience amazing.

FACTIONS

We have added a new “Helicopter squadron” for both fighting factions. We hope that this group can help the infantry to move on the large game area with their vehicles. Our own game master resources are insufficient to transport players during the game-on phase. We just don’t have enough own personnel+volunteer helpers.

With civilian factions we have now emphasized that either you join or create one civilian subfaction which will communicate with game masters prehand in order to get that subfaction as core part of the event. Other option is to just come and be “normal civilian”, where you are responsible of yourself without game masters special focus on you.

At the moment we are recruiting new civilians members (and also leaders) to following subfactions:

  • Sewell Mining
  • Traders
  • Bankers
  • White Cross
  • Battlefield Bulletin
STORY, PROPS AND MISSIONS

The story continues in country of Nordberg where Coalition of Nordberg and Northern Royal Guard forces are still engaged in battles of Halli. Northern Iron Rule forces presence has moved more to neighboring countries but their threat is still present. Different civilian factions are trying to survive in middle of this war with their own intentions.

We will try to keep main missions and side missions separated and clearer from each other in order to keep them more easily understandable to common player. But rarely life is simple and some missions might have interfaces with each other just like different groups of people usually have interfaces with each other.

We will continue using our new QR codes/internet links with props. You will see the “public” props info also at status.ehasa.org “items” -tab and the “secret” props info only with using the QR code/internet link.

Best way to keep up to date with the missions is reading status.ehasa.org “missions” -tab and “items” -tab. And best way to keep up to date with story happenings is reading tstosnews.ehasa.org news site (already before the event even starts). Usually also talking with your superior leader helps to get more info about things around you. We recommend groups (ex. platoons) to have selected person, whose job is to follow and communicate these things to other group members during the busy fighting days. This leaves group leaders more time to think about tactical and maintenance related problems.

BASES, CIVILIAN VILLAGE AND OFFGAME ROADS

Both main faction bases will be more at the north part of the game area. We will reveal more exact locations later.

Civilian village/main civilian objective will be more in middle of the whole map.

Only limited offgame road routes will be allowed to be used when players are ingame in order to allow better flow of movement. We will mark these allowed roads to the official map and Status Ehasa maps.

We will add fixed infantry and vehicle respawn points around other parts of the game area in order to help players use all of the large game area. These locations we can even change during the event if we see a need for it. We will also add more capture points (infantry respawns) in the field and will let players know their locations better (less hidden flags overall).

SERVICES

We will try to rent the southern tube sauna again for everyone to use and also still have tent saunas at main bases.

Pregame and registration is open at the check-in area on Tuesday 22.7. from 19:00 to 22:00. We expect our partners and food services to come once again on site during Tuesday afternoon/evening. Like the last time, chrono will be only for HQ staff and our volunteer helpers at Tuesday.

We hope that this year our partner Brgr. In ideas with moving foodtruck won’t get any setbacks like in 2024 event. The other stationary foodtruck will still serve you at the check-in area.

We will continue with the service car idea, but with better communication between game masters – HQ – players of who is allowed to have one and where those vehicles should be kept.

TICKETS, PAYMENT OPTIONS AND PRODUCTS

We will go back with increasing the ticket price based on time. The first increase will happen at 1.4.2025.

From now on, purchased ticket is not refundable. If you cannot attend the event, we recommend that you sell your ticket to someone else.

Transferring tickets is allowed as long as the seller or buyer is in contact with the game masters via email at info@ehasa.org. We only need to know the sold tickets ID and new owners name and if an discord account needs to be removed/moved in our closed faction channels. There is a 5 € fee for ticket transfers and it is paid to us with old tickets reference number. We also accept Edenred, Smartum and Epassi (only virtual money, no vouchers) but you can only pay the ticket with it, not product options. The payment is done at the game site with check-in crew instructions and you will have to pay the full ticket price (35€/150€).

People arriving late are subject to 15 € per group who arrive at the same time(There were few cases, were already paid group members arrived in different times and this we want to avoid.)

We have added some new products for you to preorder at Kuulaportti.

BELLUM AIRSOFT EVENT

In our “new player” info section we have added a new “BELLUM series” site where we tell about our partner airsoft event BELLUM which is held in Björköby, Sweden!

Ehasa crew took part of BELLUM 2024 and recommends everyone from the Battlegroup event also to try join BELLUM 2025 event.

In order to courage people, both of events offer 20 € discount if you have other’s event ticket also! In our case, just show your BELLUM ticket to the check-in crew in order to receive your discount.

CHANGES WITH EVENT RULES

The most important ones and also longest part of this post are the changes with rules as we made biggest rules clearout since our first Battlegroup event.

In big picture we made rules simpler, easier to read (specially vehicle rules) and cut out some unneeded rules or unneeded words. This does not mean that we will not have rules that are only single object/mission specific. Those rules will always be informed separately.

We recommend everyone to read all rules, specially if you are a veteran to our events, but here are listed the most important changes:

  • From now on Battlegroup will be a semi-only event (expect machine guns)! With this we want to see more movement on the field instead of just shooting full auto all day.
  • We removed the magazine filling limit and max carried bb rules. Hi-cap magazines are still only allowed for machine guns.
  • Wounded players cannot help evacuating at any way. Helper either carries/drags other player if they want to move the wounded in better cover. This should end any “running wounded”.
  • We increased the min. squad size to 6 members (recon platoon still has min. 4) before you can use our special roles (AT, engineer and medic per squad) and support weapons (two MGs or/and DMRs per squad).
  • Removed the limitation of how many field dressings you can carry as a medic.
  • Rewrote vehicle rules sections to be much more easier to read and learn by players. Following changes were also made in hope of having less game getting jammed on roads.
    • Vehicles can be mounted with MGs and/or with one grenade launcher. These are not counted with normal MG/AT roles.
    • Towable anti-tank gun with front protective plate is counted as class 2 “vehicle” with two hitpoints.
    • Added class 3 with three hitpoints and moved Mine Clearing Vehicles to that class.
    • From now on, every hit on a vehicle makes the vehicle stop for 20 sec before it can continue moving. During this time the vehicle can use its weapons normally.
    • When vehicle runs out of hitpoints, it is destroyed like before and can be fixed by engineer, but now the wait time before it should be moved away as roadblock object is only 5 min.
    • Vehicles cannot be left on the roadside without the driver unless there is at least 3 meters open space next to it for other vehicles to pass. Vehicles without a driver must be always parked out of the way as much as possible.
  • Made more clear how players are able to obtain and use ingame currency during the event. Basically we use “virtual bank accounts”, “bankers”, ingame cash and real life commodities like this year we already did.
  • Made following rules simpler:
    • “Mobile Field Hospital Vehicle”
    • “Searching a player”
    • “Prisoners”
    • “Mine Clearing Vehicle”
  • Removed unneeded sentences and words in many rules.
  • Removed not much needed rules:
    • “Knife kill” (expect wounded players with hand was still kept)
    • “Knock out”
    • “Locked rooms/spaces”
    • “Landmines”
    • “Minefield made by GM”
    • Removed PMR channel 8 rule for vehicles/AT-players. It did not work most of the time as intended. If you have problems, put deathrag on and GO TO TALK with other faction if ex. they don’t notice the hit from powder grenade.

See you all in Halli!
